Hemoxide II Ingredients – Data Sheet
Comprehensive Diabetic Nutritional Support:
Hemoxide II™ is essential to maintaining a diabetic’s well being. Key nutrients coupled with nitric oxide precursor technology help maintain proper blood circulation to the extremities and internal organs. Hemoxide II™ nutritionally relieves leg numbness and pain. Hemoxide II™ is an effective choice for daily diabetic nutrition.
Quick Review: Diabetes is divided into two major categories: Type I and Type II. Ninety percent of diabetics are Type II and are not insulin dependent. Although genetic factors appear important in susceptibility to diabetes, environmental factors are required to trigger diabetes. Obesity is another significant environmental factor, as a large percentage of diabetics are obese. To reduce the risk of developing the complications of diabetes, it is important to control against elevations in blood sugar by careful monitoring. Dietary modification and treatment is fundamental to the successful treatment of diabetes, whether it is Type I or II. The treatment of diabetes requires nutritional supplementation, as diabetics have a greatly increased need for many nutrients.
Ingredients:
Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) is a water-soluble vitamin and powerful antioxidant. It is needed to make collagen for muscle and blood vessels. It is important for wound healing and acts as a natural antihistamine. It helps in the formation of liver bile and helps the body to fight viruses. Helps in the treatment of Asthma, effective in people with food allergies, helps boost the immune system, may help prevent the common cold, helps the body to reduce glycolysation in diabetics, improves gum condition, and reduces elevated pressure in the eye due to glaucoma. Vitamin C has been shown to help improve the effects of retinopathy. In addition, it increases the acidity of urine, making it an inhospitable host for bacteria; this may decrease the incidence of urinary tract infection.
Vitamin E (Tocopherol) is a powerful antioxidant which protects cell membranes and other fat-soluble parts of the body. Studies suggest that supplementing with Vitamin E helps to prevent heart disease. Taking Vitamin E appears to improve glucose tolerance in both diabetics and non-diabetics. Vitamin E is useful in the treatment of: Alzheimer’s disease, Atherosclerosis, Athletics and Sports, HIV Support, Female Infertility, Male Infertility, Macular Degeneration, Fibromylagia, Heavy Menstruation, Hepatitis, Menopause, Osteoarthritis, Pre-Menstrual Syndrome, Retinopathy, and Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) is a water-soluble organic compound that is part of our diet. Vitamin B1 prevents beriberi, a disease characterized by (lesions of nerves), general debility, and painful rigidity. B1 is needed by the body to process carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. It is also required to form ATP. Nerve cells require Vitamin B1 to function as well. Research shows that B1 is involved in the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter, from nerve cells, which increases energy production. Maintains memory, improves carbohydrate tolerance, athletes require a higher than average intake to help process extra carbohydrates into energy, it improves quality of life in elderly and lowers blood pressure.
Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) is used by the body to release energy from carbohydrates. It is also needed to form fat from carbohydrates and to process alcohol. B3 is helpful in regulating Cholesterol. B3 also is effective in the treatment of Anxiety, acting similarly to Valium, Cataracts, Hypoglycemia, Migraines, Osteoarthritis, and Rheumatoid Arthritis. Vitamin B3 taken during the first trimester of Pregnancy has been connected with larger and healthier babies at birth.
Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid) is needed for energy production and creation of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. It is also needed for synthesis of Cholesterol and to release energy from fat. B5 is also needed to activate the Adrenal Glands. It also appears to be of great uses to Athletes (general fitness) in reaching their full potential. Some research suggests that patients suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis may benefit from B5.
Vitamin B6 is necessary for the processing of Amino Acids. It is also needed to make Dopamine, Melatonin and Serotonin. It aids in the formation of several neurotransmitters, and is essential to the regulation of mental processes and mood. The lack of B6 is implicated in immunity disorders, skin lesions, mental confusion, patients with kidney failure and women using oral contraceptives. It also increases the absorption of magnesium. A deficiency of B6 has been implicated Alzheimer’s, Asthma, ADHD, and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Depression, PMS, Fibrocystic Breast Condition and may prevent the onset of retinopathy. B6 is an effective Anti-inflammatory and Pain Relief agent that may be helpful in the treatment of Fibrocystic Breast Condition. It appears especially effective in treatment of Gestational Diabetes.
Biotin is involved in the intermediary metabolism of carbohydrates, energy and fats. It is of central importance in Lipogenesis (fat manufacturing), Gluconeogenesis (glycogen manufacturing) and branch chain amino acid metabolism. Depletion of biotin leads to hair loss, anorexia, nausea, depression and hallucinations. Biotin is sometimes recommended to Candida albicas sufferers and may prevent Candida from changing into its invasive fungal form. Biotin has also been shown to be of value in the treatment of Brittle Fingernails, Acne, Hair Fragility and Alopecia.
Folic Acid is needed in DNA synthesis. DNA allows cells to replicate normally. Inadequate Folic acid intake in early Pregnancy can lead to many problems, including neural tube defects, arm and leg malformation, heart defects, and cleft plate and lips. Folic acid is used by the body to produce S-adenosyl Methionine (SAM), which is known to have an effect on mood. Most adults are deficient in Folic acid. It appears to be deficient in most heart disease sufferers and regular attention to Folic acid supplements may prevent as many as 13,000 deaths from Cardiovascular diseases each year. Deficiencies are also common in people with malabsorption disorders (inability to properly synthesize nutrients from food) and women taking birth control pills. Folic acid is useful in treatment of: Anxiety, Atherosclerosis, Depression, Diarrhea, Gingivitis, Gout, High Cholesterol, Osteoporosis, Pregnancy, and Post-Partum Support and Ulcerative Colitis.
Vitamin B12’s primary functions are in the formation of red blood cells and the maintenance of a healthy nervous system. B12 is necessary for the rapid synthesis of DNA during cell division. This is especially important in tissues where cells are dividing rapidly, particularly the bone marrow tissues responsible for red blood cells. If B12 deficiently occurs, DNA production is disrupted and abnormal cells called megaloblasts occur; this results in Anemia.
Manganese is a mineral which is needed for healthy Skin, Bone, Cartilage, and Osteoporosis. It is also needed to improve Glucose tolerance, and helps activate the Antioxidant Superoxide Dismutase.
Selenium was once thought to be as deadly as carcinogenic and is now seen as a new wonder mineral that lists Cancer Prevention, AID Suppression, and Anti-Aging among its numerous benefits to humans and animals. Research has shown its curative powers in areas as diverse as Immune System Enhancement, Virology, Arthritis and Coronary Disease.
Zinc plays an important role in the proper functioning of the body’s Immune System. Zinc lozenges shorten the duration of Cold Symptoms in adults. Zinc is required for a number of activities related to Cell Reproduction and Wound Healing. It has been linked to improvements in one’s senses of Smell and Taste, and is involved in the body’s ability to Metabolize Carbohydrates for energy consumption. It also improves Atherosclerosis and Diabetes, as well as opportunistic Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infections and even the Common Cold.
Molybdenum is an essential trace mineral needed for the proper function of certain enzyme-dependent processes, including the metabolism of Iron.
Chromium is a trace mineral that the body needs in very small amounts. However, it plays an important role in human nutrition. Chromium’s most important function is to help regulate the amount of glucose (sugar) in the blood by acting as a cofactor for insulin. Researchers believe that insulin uses chromium as a cofactor to allow the transport of glucose through the cell membrane. Chromium is useful in treatment of diabetes; several studies have found that chromium supplementation can improve mild abnormalities in blood sugar control. Research suggests that chromium may be an effective aid to weight loss. (Chromium is a heavy metal and might conceivably build up and cause problems if taken in excess).
L-Arginine is a protein amino acid. It is classified as a semi-essential amino acid. L-Arginine is essential for young children. Some stress conditions that put an increased demand on the body for the synthesis of L-Arginine include trauma (including surgical trauma), sepsis and burns. Under these conditions, L-Arginine becomes essential, and is then very important to ensure adequate dietary intake to meet the increased physiological demands created by these situations. It plays a number of roles in the body: These include the detoxification of ammonia formed during the nitrogen catabolism of amino acids via the formation of urea. In addition, L-Arginine is a precursor in the formation of Nitric Oxide and Creatine. L-Arginine supports healthy cholesterol balance, healthy immune function, healthy wound healing, and is a necessary nutrient for proper blood flow to the heart, promotes the production of hormones that stimulate growth and development, important component of collagen and is important for muscle growth and tissue repair. Do not take large doses of L-Arginine (1 or more grams per dosage) if you have herpes, as Arginine may trigger outbreaks. (Hemoxide contains considerably less than one gram of Arginine per dose. With these small dosages and our unique delivery system we are able to achieve macro gram results with milligram quantities without the harmful side effects).
Choline is an essential nutrient that is widely distributed in foods, is necessary for the structure and function of all cells and is crucial for sustaining life. Choline is a precursor for phosphatidylcholine, sphingomyelin acetylcholine and the methyl donor betaine. Thus Choline is important for normal cellular membrane composition and repair, normal brain function and normal cardiovascular function.
Cinnamon Bark lowers blood sugar, triglycerides and cholesterol levels as well as improving insulin function, particularly in Type II diabetics. New research has shown that Cinnamon reduced blood pressure in hypertensive rats because it functions as an antioxidant, which is important in reducing cardiovascular disease.
N-Acetyl-Cysteine is a modified form of the amino acid Cysteine. It is commonly used in hospitals both to help break down mucus and to protect from acetaminophen toxicity and it helps the body to synthesize the antioxidant glutathione. It helps reduce plasma cell adhesion in Type II diabetes patients, reduces the amount of damage caused to the lungs by cigarette smoking and lung damage caused by inhalation of airborne chemicals. N-Acetyl-Cysteine appears effective in reducing complications related to liver transplants and may be effective in other transplant situations. It appears to slow the decline of the immune function in HIV patients and appears to minimize the severity of influenza infection.
L-Glutamic Acid is involved in the production of sugars and fats. In the brain it combines with the poisonous waste of product metabolic activity, ammonia, to produce glutamine, this is a “brain fuel,” which affects brain function, improving alertness, clarity of thought, and mood. In addition it also produces an inhibitory neurotransmitter called gamma-aminobutyrit acid (GABA), which has a soothing, calming effect on the brain. Glutamic acid has already proved valuable in treating mentally retarded patients and victims of epilepsy. Many people use it simply as a pick-me-up. Glutamic acid helps to raise blood sugar and is therefore valuable in the treatment of hypoglycemics (victims of low blood sugar). It has been found to stifle the cravings that people feel for sweets and alcohol.
Horse Chestnut Seed Extract contains beta-aescin. Studies show that horse chestnut is useful in the therapy of chronic venous insufficiency and blood flow to the lower extremities.
L-Histidine is an essential amino acid that is significant in the growth and repair of tissues as well as in the maintenance of the myelin sheaths which protect the nerve cells. It is also needed for the production of both red cells and white blood cells. Histidine also protects the body from radiation damage, helps to lower blood pressure, and aids in removing heavy metals from the system. Histamine, an important immune system chemical, is derived from Histidine. Because Histamine stimulates the secretion of gastric juices, Histidine may be helpful for people with indigestion due to lack of stomach acid. Research has shown that female sexual dysfunction can be corrected by supplementing the diet Histidine. It needs to be present in good quantities for an orgasm to take place. Orgasm is triggered when Histamine is released in the body from mast cells in the genitals. These cells function as part of the immune system, but also cause the sexual flushes experienced during arousal.
Taurine is found in the nervous system (including the retina) and muscles (especially the heart). Taurine is one of the most abundant amino acids in the body (and most abundant free amino acid in the heart). It is thought to help regulate heart beat, maintain cell membranes, and affect the release of neurotransmitters in the brain. Taurine also protects the heart from overload and assists in calcium uptake by the heart cells during periods of hypoxia (reduced oxygen levels). As a building block of all the other amino acids it is conditionally an essential sulfur-bearing amino acid, important in the building of the heart, skeletal muscle, white blood cells and the central nervous system. Important in the formation of bile, this amino acid may aid in the digestion of fat and the control of blood cholesterol. Taurine has been found to control motor tics including uncontrollable facial twitches, as well as epileptic seizures. Taurine is also used to relieve angina.
Tribulus Terrestris also called “puncture vine” is a plant long used around the world for treatment of various ailments. In Europe, Tribulus has been used in treating such wide-ranging conditions as headache, nervous disorders, constipation and sexual dysfunction. In China and India, Tribulus Terrestris has been touted for use in liver, kidney, urinary and cardiovascular remedies. Tribulus Terrestris may work by relaxing smooth muscles and increasing blood flow into the corpus cavernosa. The relaxant effect observed is probably due to the increase in the release of nitric oxide from the Endothelium and nerve endings. Since Tribulus relaxes smooth muscles, this may account for its benefits in abdominal colic.
Gymnema Sylvestre has a long history of medicinal use in India for diabetes. Its ancient Sanskrit name means “sugar destroyer”. Human and animal studies confirm that Gymnema has pronounced effects on blood sugar, at least among diabetics. Within the past two decades, researchers have determined that Gymnema extracts may even play a role in the treatment of Type I diabetics, who typically need daily injections of insulin to control the disease. Gymnema taken orally lowers diabetics’ Glucose levels and improves blood, fat and cholesterol profiles.
Hemoxide II provides all of these powerful ingredients to help support the functions of the diabetic body.
